What is a Valkyrie?

A Valkyrie is a figure in Norse mythology depicted as a warrior woman who decides the fate of warriors in battle and carries the dead to Odin's Valhalla. A Valkyrie means "chooser of the slain". They are gleaming figures epitomizing both feminine beauty and masculine strength.
